Rey | What are you most afraid of?

I love Rey so much and realized that there isn't much fanvideos of her and so I took it upon myself to change that. She was really selfless and put others before her own needs, which I think a lot of us can relate with. I just love her, and don't understand why she's disliked or marked as a "Mary Sue". Daisy did such an amazing job and she deserves all the love.

This is dedicated to my late Pop-Pop who owned the OG Trilogy on VHS and little seven year old me caught sight of Yoda on the Return of the Jedi tape, then begged to watch the movie just because I thought Yoda looked adorable. We sat and watched the tapes, then went out the following week and rented the prequels on VHS.

As I grew up, he developed dementia and it restricted him from a lot of things. But whenever I watched Force Awakens and Last Jedi, I would visit him and talk about Rey and how she got to meet Leia, Han, Chewbacca, and Luke, and how she was a Force user. He was so excited to see me being happy about there being a female Jedi since that's all I ever talked about when I was little. I never got the chance to tell him about Rise of Skywalker though, Covid happened and I wasn't able to visit him in the nursing home.

August came by quick, and he had passed away during the night. Star Wars was our bonding time, something we both enjoyed and loved with all our hearts. I thank him every day for giving me the opportunity to love this franchise that taught me that family can be found anywhere, to have hope in the darkest of times, that failure is necessary in order to grow, that you're not alone and that no one is ever really gone.
