Omega produced some wonderful Seamaster watches from the late 90s through the early 2000s.
Some of these watches are beloved collector favorites, like the 2254.50.
Others, like the watch featured in this video, the ref. no. 2533.50, which debuted in 2000, are not quite as popular, even though they share the same basic design.
I hope you enjoy this brief review of a rather quirky watch which has a lot going for it, along with some strange elements that Omega incorporated into the design.
These elements include a script-font case side engraving proudly proclaiming the "limited edition" nature of the watch, despite there being a whopping 9,999 examples of them produced.
Other unusual features include a yachtmaster-esque precious metal bezel insert, and a special logo which is more prominently displayed on the dial than the actual brand of the watch.
Thanks to these quirks, this watch is in less demand than its more desirable Seamaster cousins and therefore represents a relatively good value in today's pre-owned market.
Let me know your thoughts and, as always, thanks for watching.
