I bought a FT232R USB UART Syscon Reader to try and properly diagnose 3 PS3 PlayStation 3 consoles that had the Yellow Light of Death. This is a guide on how to use the UART Syscon Reader and connect it to your PlayStation and read the error codes that it gives you. I also try to delid an RSX chip to see if it helps with thermal issues.
