OLD GOLD!! - Lost Piece of Gold Treasure Found Metal Detecting an Early American Field!

With all the colonial fields and early American houses we metal detect year round, I can say firsthand that old gold is incredibly elusive. We often dig old silver and copper coins by the fistful, but if we find four or five pieces of gold the whole year doing these locations that would be a lot. But even with those odds we do still manage those 4 or 5 pieces and sometimes when we do they can be absolutely stunning!

Well so far this old 1600s farm field has given up a ton of old copper coins, ancient hammered silver cobs, hundreds of old buttons, and even a Roman bronze coin from the 3rd century! But even after all that, this trip made one guys entire YEAR with a monster Gold score that we’ll remember forever!
