Wat Phleng was built in 1657 and was abandoned during the wars between Thailand and Burma hundreds of years ago. Modern Bangkok has grown up around it and it is now lost in the shadows of a metropolis. People have reported seeing and hearing strange things in the temple and it has become the stuff of Thai urban legend. It is an amazing place!
