La Brève Histoire de l'Irlande

L’Irlande a une histoire riche et complexe. Elle fut peuplée dès la préhistoire, puis christianisée au Ve siècle par des figures comme Saint Patrick. Au Moyen Âge, l'île est envahie par les Anglo-Normands, marquant le début d’une longue domination anglaise. Les siècles suivants sont marqués par des rébellions, une forte répression, et une grande famine au XIXe siècle qui pousse à l’émigration massive. Au XXe siècle, l’Irlande devient partiellement indépendante avec la création de l’État libre d’Irlande, tandis que l’Irlande du Nord reste britannique, ce qui mène à des conflits. Aujourd’hui, la République d’Irlande est un pays indépendant, tandis que l’Irlande du Nord fait toujours partie du Royaume-Uni.
