Frank Slide || The Night a Mountain Crushed a Town || Southern Alberta, Canada

At 4:10 a.m. on April 29, 1903, half of Turtle Mountain in southern Alberta, Canada came crashing down upon the town of Frank, killing many of its sleeping citizens in a flurry of rocks, boulders, and mud. Known as Frank Slide, this tragic rock avalanche remains one of Canada's deadliest natural disasters.
