Young and Beautiful (Lana Del Rey Cover) - Virie Feat. Akum Jams

Rough Road Sessions travelled to Kohima, Nagaland for the first time.
And we had a damn good reason to do so.

Virie Kts has the most remarkable voice, and her talent was evident as the young chanteuse performed her version of Lana Del Rey's runaway hit 'Young and Beautiful'. Virie, with her soft and sultry voice renders her own gorgeous innocence into the melancholy and apprehension of a song that was part of the 2013 Hollywood remake of F.Scott Fitzgerald's classic, 'The Great Gatsby'.
The song also features the versatile Akum Jams ( a former member of ALOBO NAGA & THE BAND) on the guitar.
The simple arrangement of the rendition allows for the vocals to take centrestage and elevate with a hopeful buoyancy, beyond the languor and wistful sadness of the original track.
