In this video I continue showing the in vehicle battery reconditioning process. A few things I've learned about it, and why I like using this method in certain cases. Depending on where you hook up your main charger leads on your battery pack, and where the current sensor is in your battery pack, the car's computer may be able to see amperage going out but not coming back in, that was the case on this gen 1 Prius. If it was a Gen 2 Prius it would see the amperage coming in and out because of the location of the current sensor. Just be aware that this can confuse the battery monitoring ECU, but it won't cause damage. You may need to use a scan tool to clear the codes or disconnect the 12 volt battery.
