Defense and Intervention Frigate Ship Brief

The Defense and Intervention Frigate (FDI) warship, is a next-generation multi-mission surface combatant developed by Naval Group for the French Navy. The armament of the FDI includes Aster 15 or 30 surface-to-air missiles for air defense, Exocet MM40 Block 3 anti-ship missiles, MU90 torpedoes for anti-submarine warfare, and a 76mm OTO Melara main gun for surface engagements. The ship is also equipped with a hangar and flight deck capable of supporting a medium-sized helicopter, enhancing its operational flexibility.
