Restoration of a garden bench

I’ve been waiting months to do this restoration. The bench belonged to my wife’s Granda, it’s been in the family for approximately 40-50 years and it’s been sitting in my sister-in-law’s garden. It’s been repeatedly painted and had a new set put on it in the past. So when my wife asked me if I could restore this bench I jumped at the project. The icing on the cake is that the wooden slats have been made out of wood from the sister-in-laws house which puts a very nice touch to the bench.
I have loved every minute restoring this bench and it’s going to have pride of place in our garden.
