My roof rack welds snapped, and instead of replacing the whole rack or paying for welding, I fixed it myself for under $20 using aluminium flat bar and basic tools.
This is a cheap, practical DIY fix for 4WDs, touring rigs, utes, and anyone carrying gear on roof racks. Perfect if you’re on a trip, on a budget, or just don’t want to replace an entire rack over a small failure.
