How to make Hollow Donuts − របៀបធ្វើនំហុីង

Ingredients
Part 1 - Mixing the wet ingredients

1 Cup 1% or 2% milk [ 250ML ]
( warm in the milk in the microwave for 40 seconds )
1 tsp Instant yeast. [ 5g]
1 tsp Salt [ 5g ]
1 Tbsp cooking Oil [ 15ML ]
1/3 Cup Sugar (Add it last ) [ 70g ]
Mix all the ingredients together and cover it with the saran wrap and leave it for 5 minutes.

Part 2 - mixing the dry ingredients
2 cups All purpose flour. [ 320g ]
1 tsp Baking powder. [ 5g ]
1/4 tsp Baking soda. [ 1g ]
Mix the dry ingredients well before adding the wet ingredients in.


You can choose to use any kind of dough mixer to get the dough ready. But if you don’t have dough mixer at home, you can knead the dough by hand.


Note:

It is a bit wet but that what make it successful in the end. Tough dough will make it very hard to knead and not stretchable when it comes to rolling/flatten the dough when it is time to fry it.

If you use your hand to knead the dough, the yeast make the dough active from the beginning.

After combined all ingredients as in the video, you can knead it for 1 minute and after 1 minute, you can cover it for 20 minutes.

When you come back after 20 minutes, the dough is not as sticky because the dough is rested and rising. Knead again for 3-5 minutes, and as you knead it, it will be a bit sticky again.And that is okay. After done kneading for the second times, cover it for another 20 minutes.

After you can repeat the same kneading process. You can watch the video to help you with the process.

For the 3rd times you kneading the dough, it should not be as sticky because now the dough is almost ready. If the dough is sticky, add just a little of flour or cooking oil if needed. Just little, not too much.

After done kneading for the 3rd times, you can cover and leave it for 2 hrs and after that the dough should be ready for frying.

However if you use the dough mixer, you only need to mix it the one time. Cover it and leave it to rest and rise for 2hrs.
