You can see scenes like these on our Yellowstone tours, at http://www.usaparktours.com/yellowstone. These bison crossing the water, near the Lamar Confluence, in the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park, created a picturesque scene on a gloomy day. Although the Lamar Valley is possibly the best place in the world to view wolves, there is so much other wildlife there as well, including grizzly bears, black bears, elk, pronghorn, deer and of course, bison by the hundreds! Apart from the wildlife, the scenery in the Lamar Valley is gorgeous, with the imposing mountains of the Absaroka Range towering high above the lush valleys and rivers. The closer you get to the northeast entrance of Yellowstone, near Silvergate and Cooke City, the more beautiful the scenery becomes! Video by Cindy Shaffer.
