Is Storytelling Matter? | Rona Mentari | TEDxUNDIP

Rona Mentari tells us a way to build a community through opening other people’s eyes, because as how she believe inherently, every single of us were born as a storyteller and to which, great stories will happen to those who can tell them.

Rona Mentari initiates Rumah Dongeng Mentari in Yogyakarta and became the initiator of dongeng.tv, a YouTube account that contains fairy tales for children. Her persistence brought Rona to get a short course scholarship at the International School of Storytelling at Emerson College, England in 2018.

Her stories have been told at Storytelling Hut, Emerson College, England, Singapore International Storytelling Festival, to the Sydney International Storytelling Festival. Rona Mentari believes Dongeng has magic which can create a better future for the next generations. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
