The Bristol Indiana Heritage Society is growing, and our monthly meeting on August 23, 2023 was held at the Sherwin-Sanger History & Meeting Center at the Bristol Public Library. It was fitting that we held our first monthly meeting in this larger venue and in the newly named room. It is named in honor of one of our founding members, Rosemary McDaniel, for her dedication and hard work over the years preserving the history of Bristol, Indiana in the form of stories.

Rosemary has no living relatives from her Sherwin and Sanger families, so she has donated all of her photographs, written works, and memorabilia to the library to be housed in this room. The purpose is to have all of it available to the public now and into the future for research, education, and entertainment. Congratulations to Library Director, Carol Reeves, and the Bristol Public Library for transforming the vision into reality in this special way in honor of Rosemary!
