My Living Alone 5PM - 10PM Farmhouse Routine: DIY Skincare, Tiny Crafts & Quiet Evening Moments
Sometimes the quietest evenings are the most magical. From 5PM to 10PM, this is what my living alone farmhouse nights look like. Full of little rituals that help me recharge, unwind, and feel completely at home.
I start with taking care of the dogs, then make a simple DIY keyboard cover, tidy my bookshelf & repot succulents, and treat myself to an organic matcha face mask & moisturizer. I spend a few peaceful minutes in the garden, cook a quick Maultaschen salad, enjoy a relaxing bath & DIY skincare routine, and finish the night on the window sill and bedtime reading.
Even when I’m alone, these little moments make the night feel calm and quiet magic.

🧖♀️ DIY MATCHA FACE MASK
Ingredients:
• 1 tsp rice flour
• 1 tsp matcha powder
• 1 tsp honey
• 1-2 tsp water or green tea
• 1 drop essential oil (optional, like lavender or chamomile)
Instructions:
1. Mix the ingredients.
2. Slowly add a little water or green tea to the mixture. You can adjust the amount of liquid depending on how thick or runny you want the mask to be.
3. Mix in essential oil.
4. Cleanse your face before applying the mask. Gently apply the paste to your face, avoiding the eye area.
5. Leave the mask on until dry.
6. Rinse with warm water, gently massaging your skin to exfoliate. Pat your skin dry with a clean towel.
7. Follow up with the DIY moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated and soft.
💧DIY MOISTURIZER
Ingredients:
• 1 tsp coconut oil
• 1 tsp olive oil
• 1-2 drops of your favorite essential oil (optional, lavender or chamomile)
• 1 tsp organic honey
Instructions:
1. Melt the coconut oil.
2. Combine the oils.
3. Add honey and essential oil (optional, like lavender or chamomile).
4. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
5. You can use a hand mixer or a whisk to whip it until it becomes a bit more fluffy.
6. Gently massage a small amount of this rich moisturizer onto your face.
7. Transfer moisturizer into a clean jar or container. Store it in a cool, dry place.
8. Remove with warm water, if it´s too sticky.
🥗 MAULTASCHEN SALAD
Ingredients:
• Lettuce
• 1 pack Maultaschen
• 2-3 tbsp olive oil
• 2-3 tbsp vinegar
• Paprika
• Pepper
• Lovage
• Salad herbs
• 1 tsp mustard
• 1 tsp balsamic glaze
• 1 tsp maple syrup
Instructions:
1. Wash lettuce.
2. Prepare dressing.
3. Saute the Maultaschen until golden brown.
4. Mix everything.
5. Top it off with some croutons.
