What's the difference between a Drag King, Drag Queen, and Drag Thing?

Long Live Kings is a web series created by and starring the Drag Kings of so-called Vancouver, BC exploring drag, gender, acts of play, and queer community!

Drag Kings are incredible entertainers, bringing art, comedy, and glamour to the stage just as much as Drag Queens and artists who perform femininity. By performing and disturbing masculinity*, Drag Kings challenge how we all view and understand gender and patriarchy.

Drag Kings face invisibility, burnout, and systemic erasure, even as Drag Queens achieve mainstream recognition through shows like RuPaul’s Drag Race. This is our love letter to our local King community, Kings around the world, and queer & trans people everywhere.
