Expedition M196 Folge 12 / Episode 12: Die Lupe

In Folge 12 der YouTube-Serie über die Expedition M196 machen sich die Wissenschaftler:innen auf die Suche nach Frischwasseraustritten am Meeresboden. Wie mit einer Lupe suchen sie mit Hilfe einer Videokamera den Meeresgrund ab und können dabei live mitverfolgen, was sich dort unten tut.

Die Expedition M196 findet in Kooperation mit der Universität Malta @universityofmalta, der University of Hawai'i @UHmagazine, dem Bundesamt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe (BGR) @GeoChannelBGRLBEG, der Universität Patras @UniversityOfPatras, dem HELLENIC CENTRE FOR MARINE RESEARCH (HCMR) @EMBRC und dem GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel statt.

Die Expedition ist Teil des Projekts SMART, einer europäischen Helmholtz-Partnerschaftsinitiative.

In episode 12 of the YouTube series about the M196 expedition, the scientists set off in search of freshwater seeps on the seabed. Using a towed video camera, they search the seabed as if with a magnifying glass and can follow live what is happening down there.
