By default, when a runtime error occurs in a macro, VBA pops up a message box and hands control over to the user to decide what to do next. In most cases the user has no choice but to End the macro which may leave things in an incomplete state. But by adding our own error handling
the macro can take control and ensure it closes down gracefully, thus removing the onus from the user.
In Part 1 (this video) I show how to add Error Handling to top level (parent) subroutines while in Part 2 I will extend this to child subroutines and functions.
Excel Version
Recorded using Excel Pro Plus 2021 (I use at home) but also applies to Microsoft 365 (I use in the office)
