Soshiant – Tishtar (Alt. Version) | Piano & Cello

“Tishtar” is the centerpiece of Soshiant’s newly released concept album, available now on Tunitemusic.
This Alt. Version strips away the electronic beats and leaves space for the acoustic voices of piano and cello. The music video — filmed in Estonia and featuring Arashk Azizi (piano) and Kairit Kall (cello) — is a visual interpretation that brings the soul of the piece to life.

At the heart of the album lies the myth of Tishtar, the ancient Persian goddess of rain and prosperity. In mythology, her victory over the demon Apaosha brings rain to end drought, symbolizing goodness (Arta) overcoming falsehood (Druj). In today’s world, and especially in the struggles of Iran, Tishtar becomes more than just a myth — it is a reminder to look toward the sky and hope for renewal, justice, and peace.

Each track in the album reflects this mythological journey:

-Sepandar opens with oud and ambient textures, a prayer to the earth.
-Tishtar shines as the central theme, a dialogue of piano, cello, and subtle electronic colors.
-Hadhayosh flows with layered cello harmonies, invoking a primordial creature of creation.
-Apaosha embodies drought and darkness through sparse, haunting electronics.
-Homa closes the album with the call of a mythical bird, carrying both nostalgia and hope.
