Can we hit 30 LIKES? it really helps the channel out. bit of a messy one today as we are going to make hardstanding using DAS Clay. It’s a very simple technique which produces great results. It’s not meant to represent hardstanding, it is meant to represent filth, dirt & grime built up over the years to rail height.
Starting off by pressing firmly into the track for it to grab hold the next step is to wet your finger and this allows us to drag your finger along the DAS Clay manipulating it to where we want it. The most important part of the entire process is to keep wetting your finger whenever you want to manipulate and spread the clay around.
Please don’t forget This is all work from a beginner, I’m learning as I go. I value all comments, tips & tricks not just for me but anyone who is wanting to start the journey on model railways. This is a modular build planning to be at least 5 modules. As each module progresses and we move onto the next module we will see improvements regarding skill level.
