Installing a 79 Series bonnet scoop on my VDJ80 Landcruiser build 🛠️ 🛠️

This is the seventh episode in the build series of putting in a 1VD-FTV turbo diesel engine from a 79 series into my 80 Series Landcruiser. This channel is a vlog of my journey as a backyard restorer and follows my restomod builds. Make sure you check out my other builds too!

In this video, I attempt to graft a 79 Series bonnet scoop into my 80 series bonnet in order to complete the build. I show how I go about the mod including cutting, welding and painting. I then take my VDJ80 on its first drive and get it tuned at Komplete Tuning in Somerton. I have been able to finish this entire build in less than 7 weeks!

Throughout this build series, I share what I am learning along the way and the mistakes I make in order to show you, that anyone can have a crack at this type of conversion (if they have the patience!).
