Explosive evidence continued to come out before Parliament's Ad Hoc Committee established to investigate wide ranging allegations on security matters, first made by Kwa Zulu Natal Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi on the 6th of July. The first witness to take the stand earlier in the week was Mkhwanazi himself, followed by National Police Commissioner Fanie Masemola.
Meanwhile, in a dramatic twist, the Special Investigating Unit seized assets from the home of tender mogul Hangwani Maumela, while the South African Police Service raided the home of suspended Deputy Police Commissioner for Crime Detection Shadrack Sibiya.
