This Birders Show Field Guide documents Chris and Diego’s journey into the Negev Desert with videographers Julián and Santiago. As Diego says at the start of the video, you might not expect to find many birds in a desert, but both our presenters were struck by the amazingly diverse habitat they found. Join them as they go birding, learn about this tough and demanding environment, find thousands of migratory birds that make the desert their temporary home, and study a couple of highly specialized species of Sandgrouse. They even find time to visit a winery!
