There was one common thread I noticed in my years as a medical student, then a medical resident, then an employed physician, and finally an independent doctor running my own private practice: most doctors don't understand the business of medicine.
They complain about doing hours and hours of non-clinical work all of the time, and they complain not getting compensated fairly, but they don't take the time to actually learn what they are doing.
This oversight ends up losing them significant amounts of compensation while also increasing the cost of healthcare for their patients.
This lead me to found Reimbursement Rx - an organization helping physicians better understand how they get paid and teaching them how to navigate the complex business side of medicine to maximize quality patient care, compensation, and job satisfaction.
We hope you enjoyed the video!

Reimbursement Rx aims to help residents and practicing physicians take control of their futures by educating them to make better choices when it comes to finding jobs and securing contracts.
Topics discussed in our webinars:
-The flaws in the medical compensation system today, and why big hospitals and organizations don't want to talk about it!
-How money changes hands in healthcare and how doctors are paid (Insurance Reimbursement, RVUs, tiered RVUs, etc...)
-An introduction and quick tips on what ALL residents and practicing physicians should know medical billing and coding.
-How doctors are affected by the current compensation system, and what doctors can do to take advantage.

Reimbursement Rx draws from years of experience in running medical practices to help new and established physicians navigate the complicated business side of medicine.
Why Reimbursement Rx?
It's unfortunate, but the vast majority of newly graduated residents and fellows do NOT understand the business of medicine.
Worse still, most established doctors don't either.
The truth of the matter is that new and established doctors sign contracts without really knowing what they are getting into.
This means that first year doctors sign contracts with big hospitals and medical foundations not fully knowing how and why they are being paid, so they grow to feel like they are being "used" and taken advantage of by the system.
Meanwhile, established doctors often get too complacent and passive when it comes to negotiating better deals for themselves. The end result: doctors are not being compensated as fairly as they could be.
This is why it’s our aim to teach residents and doctors what residency does not, and what hospital systems don’t want you to know!
