Psychologist Discusses Laurie Shaver's Letter & Sentencing and Susan Lorincz's Sentencing

Today psychologist, Dr. Patrice Berry, discusses the letter written by Laurie Shaver & her sentencing and the sentencing of Susan Lorincz.

Laurie's husband "Michael Shaver went missing in November 2015 and his remains were uncovered in 2018 under a concrete slab in the backyard of their Clermont home. Laurie Shaver had contended in her trial that one of her children and her boyfriend at the time shot Michael Shaver after a physical altercation between the couple. She also testified that she had endured alleged physical and emotional ab*se by Michael Shaver....A jury found Laurie Shaver guilty of second-degree murder in September."

Ajike (AJ) Owens who was killed by her neighbor, Susan Lorincz. "Lorincz, who residents said had a history of harassing children and using racial slurs, was convicted of manslaughter three months ago for last year’s slaying of Ajike “AJ” Owens. She faced up to 30 years in prison. However, her defense lawyer told the court she deserved less than the 11.5-year minimum, saying that she has a mental disorder and was under “extreme duress” during the deadly confrontation."
