Sympathy for the Demon

I have a problem with KPop Demon Hunters… On one hand, it portrays demons as beasts to be annihilated. On the other hand, they seem strangely human... Are demons meant to be saved or slaughtered? We'll look at how Kpop Demon Hunters builds on mythology and breaks away from the modern cartoon demon portrayal (from Frieren, Devilman Crybaby, and more) to figure out how demons are portrayed across fiction and how to solve KPop Demon Hunter's DEMON HUNTER DILEMMA. Should we have sympathy for demons?
