This lecture discusses the various types of cardiovascular systems found in the animals kingdom. We look at the difference between an open and closed system. Then look at the various adaptations found in circulation among the vertebrate. We then take time to go through the parts of the cardiovascular system and look at the components of blood. Finally we look at cardiovascular disease and some of the causes and treatments that are out there.
