Pokémon DPPt Soundfont - HG/SS Team Rocket Battle (750 Subs Special)

So it's time for an arrangement! And for a special! This video celebrates my 750 subscribers. Actually, I have more than 800, but for some reason the counter dropped a couple months ago and now my channel shows 782 subs. That sucks. =( Maybe you guys won't believe me, so I pretended this is the 750 subs special. Perhaps I'll make another one for my 900 hit.

Either way, this song is an arrangement of the theme 'Team Rocket Battle' from Pokémon HeartGold an SoulSilver, played by insturments from the previous games Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. I tried to be as realistic as possible, but I think I overdid the bass; isn't it a bit too loud? Whatever you think, I think I did a good job and I'm proud of my work. Not that I'm bragging about it, I'm just saying that it took me a while and that it was worth it.

I'm gonna tell you some details of the project. I usually have a problem with the closed hi-hats while using the DP soundfont: they're too loud compared to the rest of percussive instruments of the drum kit. Maybe the closed hi-hat had its volume turned down in HGSS. I don't know. The thing is, I had an idea to solve that: I took all the closed hi-hat notes (by selecting and copying them) and pasted them in a separate drum kit channel, with the exact same instruments. Then I lowered the volume of the new channel so that the hi-hats sounded fine compared to the rest of the percussion. Well, it worked! I'll definitely use that trick in future DPPt arrangements whenever I have that problem again. :)

By the way, have you ever noticed that Synth Bass 1 from the HGSS and DP soundfonts sound slightly different? The HG/SS one is more polished, sounds better.
