July 2024 Active Melody Site Member Challenge Response #81
Brian challenged us to do ONE TAKE unscripted #improvisation over a slow A minor blues backing track by Quist. The EP576 lesson is Brian's demonstration of playing to the track he never heard before. I couldn't help but hear the BT because of the lesson but I did not play it since the challenge announcement until I turned the camera on for this recording. This is a rough one but it also marks my baseline as of now. The concept is to be continued...

Guitar: semi-hollow Greg Bennett Royale RL4 with Regular EB Slinky 10-46 strings, both pickups
Amp: Fender Pro Jr IV mic'ed with Shure SM57, Vol 2/Tone 8.5, Spring Reverb added in DAW.
Interface: Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 to Macbook/Logic Pro Audio
Video recorded with iPhone 14 Pro Max and processed with Final Cut Pro.
