In this video, The Walkers, Nikki and Dave, show leadable steps to a dance called The Carolina Shag.

Dave says that the put behind is very similar to a side pass. Both are done in a trail position. The difference between the two is that the man stays forward for the duration of the move on the put behind. To illustrate the differences, the Walkers demonstrate both the side pass and the put behind to music.

The next thing the Walkers show us is called the saddle up. Nikki notes to make sure the hand is on the man’s shoulder, unlike ballroom where the hand is on the arm. To get out of the saddle up, Dave and Nikki show us a tuck turn. The reverse turn is another turn to get out of a saddle up. They show both of these smooth looking turns to music.
