In this video, Redbird Speed takes a look at a 12 Bolt rear end for a 1998-2002 Camaro using stock disc brakes. This same bracket configuration is used for both the 3rd and 4th gen F-Body. This rear end is set up with flush mount style housing ends. We ship the bearings loose because you must drop the caliper bracket first. The axle, caliper bracket, bearing assembly slides in the housing end. The bearing will sit flush and the caliper bracket will retain the axle in the housing end. Need help with ABS? Contact us if you have questions about 3 channel or 4 channel ABS. This rear has a 33 spline set of axles using a Truetrac Eaton Posi. This is a worm gear style unit. We like this unit because there are no springs or clutches to wear out. A 1350 pinion yoke is a must. This yoke is larger and allows options for adapter U joints if needed. There are many ways to customize this rear. This rear can be narrowed, powder coated, setup with Torino housing ends, second bolt pattern, different studs, 4 series carrier, and more. There are options in the 3rd and 4th gen F-Body platform including the Ford 9" and the Dana 60. Making more power and need something stronger? Contact us!
