In this classic 2003 episode of Going Fishing with Darryl Choronzey, Cronzy is joined by Toronto Maple Leafs legend Bobby Baun at West Coast Resorts, Milbanke Sound. Famous for his toughness on the ice — most notably playing through a broken ankle to score a game-winning overtime goal in the 1964 Stanley Cup Finals — Baun brings the same grit and determination to the water.
Together, Darryl and Bobby take on the rich salmon waters of Milbanke Sound, battling powerful Chinook and Coho while swapping stories from both hockey rinks and fishing boats. It’s a rare glimpse at a Canadian sports hero in his element off the ice, enjoying another passion: fishing.
