"What a Feeling" is a song from the 1983 film "Flashdance" with music by "Georgio Moroder" and the lyrics by "Keith Forsey" and the song performer "Irene Cara". They wrote most of the lyrics to "Flashdance...What a Feeling" in the car while driving to the recording studio after seeing the film's final scene. Cara admitted she even didn't know the plot of the movie at the time.
The song spent six weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts around the world.
Cara married stuntman and film director "Cornard Palmisano" in Los Angeles on April 13, 1986. The couple had no children and divorced in 1991.
Cara died from arteriosclerosis and hypertensive heart disease at her home on November 25, 2022, at 63 years of age, she also had diabetes.
