The Weird Circle presents the story that invented detective fiction - Edgar
Allan Poes The Murders in the Rue Morgue. Published in 1841, this tale
introduced C. Auguste Dupin, the template for every great detective from
Sherlock Holmes to Hercule Poirot.
Two women are brutally murdered in a locked room. Witnesses heard voices
speaking in languages none could identify. The police are baffled. Only Dupins
methods of ratiocination can solve the impossible crime.
