Here's some frenzied yellow jack and mackerel bridge action!
Julio and I awoke early to make another trip down into the Florida Keys for some frenzied yellow jack, spanish and cero mackerel fishing. Once out on the bridge, it wasn't long before the bite was on, and it was hot. Julio was fast onto the yellow jacks while I kept trying for the mackerels. Although both species will hit the same lure/jig, we were using different jigs for targeted fishing.
We began tossing the yellow jacks back when we had over a dozen each. Add the six mackerels to the total, and I'm sure you'd agree we had an excellent catching day. As a finishing touch, I caught my first cero mackerel which you'll see in the video.
