Even 3-4 years ago it wasn’t often that a Chagnon was running out in Villa Park, but luck was on my side one afternoon as I was riding through and found this truck finishing up on the Thursday route. This was one of the last weeks that the town was handled by entirely rear loaders, as it wasn’t long after that they started using Curottos on some of the routes (mainly where they once piloted using carts for recycling). In the time since this was recorded, the town was rolled out with 96Tr/64Rec LRS Cascades and more Curottos have been phased in, while some splits are still used here on Thursdays. When the splits aren’t running in Villa Park, they can also be found handling River Forest, the east side of North Riverside or running yard waste routes. I was holding onto this video for a while and I figured I’ve waited long enough to post it, so I hope you all enjoy it!
