Why you can understand English but can't speak into Urdu
Many people can understand English when they hear it or read it, but feel unable to speak it confidently. This happens because understanding and speaking are two different skills.
Most learners watch English videos, read titles, and listen to conversations on apps like YouTube and WhatsApp. This improves listening and comprehension, but speaking needs active practice. If you don’t speak daily, your mouth and brain don’t get trained to produce English words.
Another reason is fear of making mistakes. People understand English in their mind, but hesitate to speak because they worry about wrong grammar or pronunciation. Also, many learners first think in their native language (Urdu/Hindi) and then translate into English, which makes speaking slow andfluentenglish

Writing is easier than speaking because you have time to think, but speaking requires instant response. With regular speaking practice, confidence grows and English becomes natural.
