1995 BASINGSTOKE GRASSTRACK 29TH AUGUST

Some really big names in the entry for this Basingstoke grasstrack, especially in the 1000cc RH Sidecars, with Measor & Lapham always the crew to beat, but Cornish crews of Phil Pitman/Myles Simmons and Richard Thomas/Kevin Woodley in cracking form, along with Mark Edwards/Nick Walters. South Eastern favourite Dave Steer/Colin Hill always a threat to any crew, along with Rob Wilson/Tony Miles and John Halsey/Jason Glenie. All in really great form this season, making the final would be a struggle, but which of these in form crews would go on to win the meeting?
The 500cc Solo's looked between Dean Garton, Gary Phelps, Mark Dimmer, Gary Lobb, Andy Parker, Simon Gittings, Mitch Godden, and the spectacular Steve Daw.
Godden and Daw also clash in the 350cc Solo's, and we see a rare appearance in the class for 250cc superstar Lee Street.
The 250cc Solo's sees some great racing with Richard Smith, Chris Phillips,Steve Syrett, John Pilcher, Richard Simms, Adrian Squirrell, and Keith Strudwick.
A meeting full of great racing, even if it did get pretty dusty as the day went on.
