600cc Micro Sprint Car Race | Annual Linda’s Nationals 2024 October 2024

The Annual Linda’s Nationals 2024 at Linda’s Speedway brought out some of the best 600 Micro Sprint racers on the East Coast, and we were pumped to hit the track! Unfortunately, our first attempt at this track was cut short due to a chain failure and a broken fuel pump before we could even get past Hot Laps. But now, we were ready to put our car to the test against a stacked field of 53 drivers.
Qualified 14th out of 53 cars, even had the quick time for a bit. Not bad for our first time at this event!
Started P2 in the Heat Race but struggled at the start due to a bad stater, ultimately landing in the C Main. During some Lap 1 chaos got caught up in a wreck in front but managed to keep going since the car felt okay. Charged from the back up to 5th, but a late-race caution shuffled me to 7th on the restart. Fought back to 6th but just missed the 5th place transfer spot for the B Main.
Back in the pits, we discovered a broken left front upper shock mount, which explained some of the handling struggles. Despite the setbacks, this event was an amazing learning experience as we wrapped up our first full year of racing—let alone in this car!
Unfortunately, due to a rock damaging our camera case, we only captured Hot Laps here.
