Dad was working at Idlewild in NY when Pan American started flying the B-707 jet airliner in late 1958. They were right next to United's ramp, so he walked over to film what it took to service a jet in anticipation of United's DC-8 jets that would begin operating in September, 1959. Sadly, ship N709PA seen at the beginning of the film would be lost 5 years later in a storm over Maryland. I'm fairly certain that the second 707 seen in the film was N707PA. It was the very first jet delivered to Pan American in 1958 and it flew with them until it was withdrawn from service in 1980.
