CESSNA 182 400 CLASS | UNBOXING and QUICK ASSEMBLY GUIDE: ESSENTIAL RC FLIGHT TEST

This cute little Cessna is relatively quick assembly. The main fuselage and wings are made from EPO foam and the horizontal stabiliser/elevator and vertical stabiliser/rudder are made from a plastic material. All the servos are in place and there are very few steps to get this model airworthy.
ASSEMBLY TIPS:
1. The landing gear did not come with anything to actually hold it in the slot in the fuselage. A thin slither of foam does this nicely. I was loathed to glue it in in case it needed removing at some point in the future.
2. The rudder and elevator hinges should be flexed in both directions before gluing into the fuselage so they are moved easily by their respective servos.
3. After gluing the horizontal stabiliser into the fuselage slot make sure the elevator can actually move up and down correctly.
4. Unless you have a very small receiver you will probably find the best location for it is at the back of the cabin.
5. There are 3 nuts (and a washer) on the motor shaft when you take the fuselage out of the box. After putting on the first nut all the way to the back of the motor shaft, then the propeller, I found that the spinner will fit only if one nut is used rather than two.
