Peavey AT-200 Autotune Guitar

Guitarists seem to be the least likely to embrace technology and change, yet not every new idea is necessarily a bad one...

Take the Peavey AT-200 guitar. On the face of it, say 'Autotune', and any self-respecting musician will pour scorn; it's for people who can't sing.

But what if it could be used more positively?

This guitar uses Autotune to ensure it is ALWAYS in tune, as well as perfectly intonated, regardless of whether the guitar is physically so well set-up.

As well as this, you can fool it into alternate tunings, quickly and easily. That said, these are drop tunings; raised tunings require the purchase of additional software, and aren't demonstrated here.

These guitars are cheaper than ever, so if you regularly use alternate tunings, and especially if you do a lot of studio work, this guitar could be a lifesaver.
