Bekka & Delaney Bramlett - Santa, Mistletoe, & You

I was hanging out tonight with the incredibly talented LaLa Deaton & Bekka Bramlett this evening in memory of LaLa's father who passed away this afternoon, and LaLa & I played a new Christmas song that we just wrote and recorded in his honor. First on the computer then myself on the piano while LaLa sang it live with Bekka coming in on backgrounds. She absolutely loved where we went with the tune and that it reminded her of a past Christmas that she spent with her family about 10 years ago while sharing a home video with us. She told us that this song was written as a result of her going to her father, the late great Delaney Bramlett and saying, "You know Daddy, I don't think there are any more Christmas songs left to write. I think they're all taken." To which he grabbed a guitar and headed off to another room and came back within an hour. Here's what he came up with...
