Railfanning Amtrak pantograph failure, NS 4000, CSX 1853 New York Central, NYS&W, ME in NJ, 11-23-25

This is probably the most insane day I've ever had. I went basically everywhere including a new place today! I started off the day at Metropark and my first catch of the day was Bombardier ALP-46A 4637 running with its front pantograph up. Speaking of pantographs, after just one train in-between, Siemens ACS-64 621 leading Amtrak Train 51 the Cardinal experienced a pantograph failure just before coming around the corner and it coasted by me with both of its pantographs down. It coasted all the way to Track 4 at Metuchen. I heard over the radio that the front pantograph system developed an air leak and triggered a failsafe that lowered the rear pantograph. The air on the front pantograph system was cut out and the rear pantograph was able to be raised back up without any issues and the train continued on its way with a not that bad 10 minute delay. After another train in-between, I caught an Amtrak lite power move with three EMD GP38-3s: 723, 722, and 739. Two trains later I caught a NJ Transit South/West bound equipment move with Bombardier ALP-46A 4634, Bombardier MultiLevel Cab Car 7006, Alstom Comet V Cab Car 6018, and Bombardier MultiLevel Coaches 7591 and 7505. My friend James @metroparkproductionsyt came in on the next train and we had just barely enough time to leave and catch the Norfolk Southern Class Leader DC to AC AC44C6M 4000 "Sonic Bonnet" leading NS 256 and we got a wave from the engineer! Directly after seeing 4000, James and I headed up to Ridgefield Park with literally no time to spare and we caught CSX GE ES44AH 1853 the New York Central Heritage Unit leading I164. We also caught NYS&W WS-1 with a solo NS EMD GP38-2, 5361, switching cars getting ready for JS-X. We got a wave from the engineer when he was pulling a cut of cars out for the first time. We then caught 5361 running lite back to the Little Ferry Yard to pick up two more locomotives, NS EMD GP38-2 5630 and CSX EMD GP38-2 2790, which completed the power for JS-X. James and I went over to Rochelle Park at the Rochelle Ave crossing to catch JS-X on the move! To finish out our day, since James had never caught the Morristown & Erie on the move before, we went over to East Hanover to catch the ME THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride with EMD GP15-1 24 leading and EMD MP15DC 2354 trailing. We got a wave from the head and rear end engineers and even got an extra horn blast from the rear end engineer when the MP15DC was going over the crossing!
