Borderlands 2: Buffed Buffalo- does it still suck!?

The Buffalo is a unique Jakobs sniper that is a quest reward for the quest 'Demon Hunter'. It has an increased base damage at the cost of fire rate and a scope. The lack of a scope hurts the weapon because it means that the best accessory is unavailable. Without the patch, this weapon was simply too slow to use with Critical Ascension, and that made it far worse than almost any other sniper.
After the patch, the weapon is still slow, but Critical Ascension is more forgiving. The Buffalo also got significantly increased base damage, which made the weapon much better overall.
The weapon doesn't suck now, but it is probably still a poor option compared to other Jakobs.
