"Aracê" (roughly translated as “birdsong at dawn” from Guarani) is a tune I wrote with my dear good friend Franco Pinazzo in mind — someone with whom I shared countless rehearsals, conversations, and musical plans during our time at Berklee Valencia, many of which, I hope, will see the light of day soon!
The first germ of Aracê goes back many years, but only now did I see it as a great vehicle to explore rhythmic elements from Latin America — a musical world Franco both deeply appreciates and understands.
“Aracê” is part of my EP, “Valencianas 1,” a collection of duos I wrote while living in Valencia, inspired by the wonderful musicians I met around the city.
