-----------------
The قَالَ (Qaala) is a irregular verb. It has a weak letter in the middle root, it is also known as a 'hollow verb' الْأَجْوَف
Weak letters in Arabic are ا، و، ي
when و or ي is any of the root letters they do not follow the standard verb patterns.
