Interlude III — Album Select 1.

This video marks the first real pause in the Field Notes by Cai journey.

I begin by revisiting the opening moments of Day 1, reflecting on how much ground has already been covered and how, somehow, it still feels like we’re only just getting started. There are so many ideas ahead, so many musical places left to visit, and so much still to explore.

This episode plays the final idea from every single day so far — 29 sketches in total — and opens up the next phase of the project: deciding, together, which ideas are worth carrying forward.

There’s no rush, no deadline pressure, and no guarantee that the most popular ideas will automatically make the final cut. This is about listening, noticing patterns, and letting the album take shape naturally over time.

We’ll continue the daily series through the end of February, and from this growing pool of sketches, we’ll eventually narrow things down — together — to around 12–15 tracks that will be fully reworked and recorded for the album.
